Founded in 2006, Care Counts is an established provider of high-quality domiciliary care and support services throughout Huddersfield and the wider Kirklees area.

Our story

Care Counts was founded by Sam Burrows in 2006 with a commitment to providing high-quality, personalised care and support to people in their own homes.

For over 20 years, we have supported individuals and families throughout Huddersfield and Kirklees, helping people maintain their independence, dignity and quality of life.

We believe that continuity of care is essential. Wherever possible, our clients receive support from a familiar group of care workers who understand their individual needs, preferences and routines.

Our dedicated team works closely with clients, families and healthcare professionals to deliver flexible care packages tailored to each person's circumstances.

As a CQC-registered provider, we remain committed to safe, compassionate and professional care, supported by ongoing staff training, supervision and quality monitoring.

Initial follow-up contact after a new care package commences.

Regular care plan reviews, with additional reviews when needs or circumstances change.

Ongoing monitoring of care records and service delivery.

Quality assurance visits and opportunities for client feedback.

Monitoring of care visits to support reliability and continuity.

Care plans, risk assessments and moving and handling arrangements are reviewed as required and whenever a client's needs or circumstances change.

All care staff undergo Enhanced DBS checks as part of our safeguarding procedures, with checks renewed every three years in accordance with company policy.
